The DDMB has started an organic agriculture project in the cleared dumping ground. Today, Doomdooma MLA Rupesh Gowala and the District Commissioner of Tinsukia Swapneel Paul formally sowed the seeds of corn on the ground. The chairperson of DDMB Kanta Bhattacharyya, vice-chairman Moni Dutta and ward commissioners were present. On the other hand, the MLA and the District Commissioner jointly flagged off two trucks of the disposal of Refused Derived Fuel (RDF) to a cement klin of Meghalaya which will be used as fuel in the cement klin.
